Eleven-year-old Raegan loves wearing her green jumper. To her, it isn’t just a cute outfit. It’s a reminder of the day her life was transformed.
Just a few months ago, Raegan, along with her family, hopped on a plane to Santa Monica, California, to be a model in the fall clothing photo shoot at Justice. Earlier this year, her photos could be seen on the walls in-store, and some are still featured on Justice’s website.
“They gave her the full-on experience,” Raegan’s mom said.
When Raegan was all glammed up and in front of the camera, she was beaming with happiness. She posed beside new friends, did multiple wardrobe changes into brand-new Justice items and had tons of fun on the set.
“It made her feel really special,” Raegan’s mom said. “I was a little emotional, in a good way. It was such a happy, fun experience.”

Raegan, who is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, experiences her share of hard days. Luckily, this day wasn’t one of them. Instead of worrying about doctor’s visits and medications, Raegan had the chance to do something that was all about her in all the best ways.
“It was just a wonderful experience,” Raegan’s mom said. “Even their staff sent a cake to her with her name on it and had it decorated with all of her favorite foods.”
Those small touches are big moments in the life of someone like Raegan.
“She even got to pick out and keep her favorite outfit,” Raegan’s mom said. “The green jumper.”
Raegan’s mom said that the Wish experience made a positive impact on Raegan’s spirit, giving her the strength that she needs to overcome her illness.
“From the time we got on the plane to the time we got back,” Raegan’s mom said, “it couldn’t have gone more perfect.”
A wish can give a child the hope they need to fight harder, the strength they need to heal, and a higher chance of survival.
